Research Realms

The Center for Neural Engineering (CNE) at Penn State facilitates collaborative research across the boundaries of neuroscience, engineering, and the physical sciences.

Faculty in the center have expertise that falls primarily in four research areas: neural computation; neurophysiology; neurodevices and neurotechnologies; and neural data sciences. Though faculty usually specialize in one category or another, research activities and research collaborations often span multiple areas.
